I have been getting some serious lower back pain riding around in my stick-straight car seat. Does anyone know of a good lumbar cushion and where I might buy it? (The cheaper the better, haha.) Thank you!

I’m a kayak fisherman with an sit-on-top Emotion fisherman kayak. I have a cheap seat and I have tried a 0.00 seat before which I took back. While I fish my lower back gets sore I’m sure a more expensive seat will make my butt comfortable but my back needs support, maybe its the way I sit but I usually shove something behind my lower back to act like a lumbar in a car seat for relief. I’m 6’0 tall 215 lbs thick athletic build. All the seats I look at don’t seem to have any kind of lower back support. I usually quit fishing because my back gets so tired so any kind of advice would help. Thanks for your answers.

Ok for all you gear heads out there, i’m gonna step awar from the spiritual matters I usually talk about and ask about my car.

I have a 1998 Buick Century Custom, approx 150K miles. I bought the car used and mechanically sound, but the driver seat is a little brokedown. The seat has a well worn and lopsided butt space and seat back lumbar support is almose non existant.

I have tried a web search, and my best result was the JC Whittney catalog so far, but I don’t need a Jeep seat, or a racing seat, or a truck seat I need a seat for an automobile that is in fact a car seat not an seat for an infant in a car.

any help out there, besides pick a part?????

My car seat is old, cheap and not ergonomically designed (ie it has no lumbar support). After sitting in it for more than 20-30 minutes, my back gradually becomes more and more sore, to the point where I have to get out and stretch.

I do tons of weight training for my back (deadlifts etc.) but it normally has not soreness whatsoever, only when I sit in my car seat.

Can anyone suggest a cause for this, and how it may be prevented?
